The Center for Dance Arts II, LLC (CFDA II) is proud to be a recreational dance center located in the center of Winsted, CT. We began our journey in September of 2000 with a goal of teaching children not only how to dance but to give them a safe place to spend their days. CFDA II is proud to offer a dance curriculum that will instill confidence, poise, teamwork, respect and work ethics all while having fun and making new friends in a relaxed and positive atmosphere.
Our staff includes owner/director Miss Lisa Cormier, Miss Mikki Ferrigno, and Miss Meghan Gagnon. Check out Our Staff page to learn more about our faculty!
CFDA II offers classes in tap, ballet, jazz, acrobatics, hip-hop and preschool dance. Classes are arranged by levels as well as ages. This makes it easier for dancers to take multiple classes on the same day! Most of our classes are recreational, therefore allowing the dancers a fun and stress free environment where they can express and be themselves! CFDA II does offer a competition experience for those wanting a different and more intense dance experience.

Staff
Miss Lisa Cormier – Owner/Director/Instructor
Miss Lisa lives in Sandisfield MA with her family. She started dancing at an early age and still going strong! She grew up dancing at local dancing schools, competing in regional and national competitions until into her 20’s. Miss Lisa has won numerous awards both in group and solo competitions. She has won many titles and grand champion awards. Lisa was a teacher at The Center For Dance Arts in Torrington until CFDA II opened in Winsted. She attends seminars locally taught by world-renowned teachers to keep up on the last trends.
Miss Lisa considers herself very lucky to be able to hand down her knowledge and love for dance to all of her students. She doesn’t care if you are a competitive or recreational student, she enjoys working with all levels and considers every dancer a winner the minute they walk through the door!
Miss Meghan Gagnon
- Assistant Director/Instructor
Miss Meghan is a graduate of NW Regional 7 and a currently a student at NWCCC. Miss Meghan began dancing at CFDA II when she was just 6 years old. She has continually worked hard performing and learning new skills. She has come to love working with children and you can always find her at the studio dancing! Miss Meghan was a member of our competition team as an award winning soloist! She is now sharing her knowledge and experiences with her students while constantly looking for new dance content to bring into the studio!
Miss Mikalah Ferrigno - Hip Hop Instructor
Miss Mikki joined us in the fall of 2023 and is a bright, energetic, and fun addition to our staff! She is also an instructor at several other local dance studios and works with students of all ages, in all genres of dance! Miss Mikki is an experienced performer and choreographer. Her performances and pieces have been acknowledged with many awards over the years! We welcome her to our staff!
